Naptime has been tough this week to say the least while I am home with the boys before their new school. Today I just tried to make Jack stay in his room for "quiet" time until 3pm. After coming out a few times he came running out to tell me it was 3, knowing full well my clock said 2:45 I went in to see his clock, because he seemed really bound and determined.
As I walk in I notice the clock says 3:45 and I am shocked. The conversation goes something like this..
Mommy - "How does your clock say 3?"
Jack - "It says 3 because it is 3?"
Mommy - "Did you change the clock?"
Jack - Knowing he is in trouble, "I wanted it to get here faster!"
I honestly am shocked he realized he could change it and figured out how to do it! I proceeded to let him and his non-napping cute brother out of their rooms.
